Introduction

2009 CBSSports.com Fantasy Golf Challenge
Welcome to the 2009 CBSSports.com Fantasy Golf Challenge! The 2009 CBSSports.com Fantasy Golf Challenge (the "Contest") lets you pick a team of your favorite golfers and compete for great prizes. You can win by fielding the highest-scoring team each week or having the highest scoring team at the end of one of our four Contest segments (a "Segment"). You earn points based on the money your team of golfers earn in a given tournament, as defined in the "Point Values" section below. Each week you'll have $1,000,000 in fantasy money to spend on your team of five golfers. Each golfer will be assigned a salary and the combined salaries of the golfers you pick cannot exceed $1,000,000. Salaries will be based on the World Golf Rankings. You must choose a new lineup each week, if you don't your team will score zero points.

No Cost
The Contest is FREE to play for the entire season! No purchase or entry fee necessary to enter or win.

The Administrator
CBS Interactive Inc. ("CBSI") will serve as the Administrator of the Contest and will be responsible for resolving any disputes that arise regarding violations of the rules.

Eligibility
The Contest is open to persons who are: (a) Registered Users; (b) legal residents of one (1) of the fifty (50) United States, Washington DC, or Canada (excluding Quebec) (for purposes of clarity, Puerto Rico is expressly excluded); and (c) at least eighteen (18) years of age or older at the date of registration in the Contest.

For purposes of these Official Rules, "Registered User" means a person who has successfully completed the registration form and has obtained a User Identification ("ID") and associated password ("Password") on one of the CBSI network of Websites which currently include the following: CBS.com, CBSnews.com, CBSSports.com, theinsider.com, etonline.com, NFL.com, NCAA.com, and/or CBSgames.com.

If you are not a Registered User you may become a Registered User and obtain an ID and a Password by completing the CBSSports.com (the "CBS Sports Service") registration form here or on the CBS Sports Service. There is no fee or charge to become a Registered User.

Employees of CBS Interactive Inc. (the "Contest Entity") and each of their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible to win. For the purpose of these rules, "immediate family member" is defined as a parent or sibling of, or any person residing in the same household as an employee of the Contest Entities. Void where prohibited by law. Such excluded employees and/or family members may play, but WILL NOT be eligible to receive any prizes.

Signing Up
Registered Users can sign up any time by visiting the CBS Sports Service. Participants will be asked to go to the URL: http://golf.cbssports.com/splash/golf/spln/challenge/free and follow the onscreen instructions (the "Onscreen Instructions") in order to enter. Onscreen Instructions are incorporated by reference into these Official Rules.

Selecting Your Team
Each week throughout the Contest, you may choose a team of 5 golfers. You will have $1,000,000 to spend assembling your team. The pool of golfers may change week to week, as may the golfers' salaries, depending on the most recent World Golf Rankings. Your lineup will NOT carry over from week to week. You must choose a new lineup each week, if you don't choose a team in any given week, your team will score zero points for that week.

Note: Player lists and salary information are updated by approximately 7:00 PM ET on Mondays, and then locked until the following Monday. Therefore, the list will not change if certain players are added to a tournament playing field, or scratched from it after 7:00 PM ET on the Monday before a tournament.

Team Selecting Deadline
A tournament period ("Tournament Period(s)") may consist of one or more tournaments each week (see the "Scheduled Tournaments" section below.) Most Tournament Periods run for four days, usually Thursday through Sunday (some tournaments begin on Wednesday, so check the Scheduled Tournaments each week.) The deadline for picking your team each week is 6:00 AM ET of the first day of the Tournament Period that week. If an overseas tournament begins prior to 6:00 AM ET, then the deadline is 1 hour prior to the beginning of the tournament. If you fail to select a team for the first tournament of each Segment, you will be awarded zero points toward your overall total score and your Segment score for each week you do not set an initial lineup. Although it isn't necessary to participate each week, it is strongly encouraged since missing a week will reduce your chances of winning a Segment Grand Prize and/or the Overall Grand Prize (as defined below).

The bonus will be added to your team's earnings.

Note: Throughout the tournament, you will see projected money earned displayed on the Fantasy Leaderboard. This does not represent money won by your golfers, but rather a scenario of what the money earned would be if the tournament ended at the present time.
